It seems like i stepped out of my life for 4 weeks and now i am stepping back in.

The week of Christmas was fun. Del played his favorite game with the kids. He takes some cash from 1's to what ever we can afford for that year. He hides them in his pockets. They start with a gift bag that can have anything from T P to cash. Then we play lets make a deal. He will say i will trade you for whatever is in your gift bag for what is in my shirt pocket. some years they make out like bandits others they get a start on their food storage.

New years was spent with the kids playing a lot of WII. I even tried my hand at guitar hero. We toasted my mom with sparkling cider in sponge bob paper cups. I think she would have liked that.

Then I headed for Portland. I always struggle when i go to Portland. I lived there for 10 years. i have lived in Idaho for about 33 years. But Portland is still home. My family is here, my home is here, my work is here and my ward family is here. But when i go to Portland i don't feel stress. Maybe it is because i am not working. I am basically on vacation when i go. It just feels good there.
When i go there i am not a wife or a mother i am just me. Sometimes i forget who i am.

I guess i am truly blessed to have 2 places to call home.
