I thinking about posting a new blog everyday but for some reason it doesn't get done. I have some down time over the next couple of days so i will try and get caught up.
the reason for the down time
i am actually on vacation.
Now for some of you this is probably not a big deal. So let me recap
Del and i have been married almost 33 years. I must say we have and are having a great life but we really have not done a lot of vacations
We have taken trips with the kids to Grandmas in oregon, to the other Grandmas cabin.
About 22 years ago we got a free vacation to St George through Dels work. About 15 years ago we took the kids to Disneyland. But for trips for Del and I without the kids it goes about like this.
Del and I went with his mom and Aunt and Uncle to Denver with out the kids for 2 nights 29 years ago. We went to a wedding in Oregon alone 4 years ago
That is the extent of our vacation.
So Del and I are actually at the Oregon Coast. Just the 2 of us. No kids, no weddings, no other family. Can you believe it? I am loving it.
But to be completely honest my sister and her husband are meeting us tomorrow. And I am so glad about that. It is a win win in my book.
It was a long drive. We left Idaho Falls after work Thursday and drove to Ontario Oregon. We got there about midnight. We decided to take the central Oregon route through Bend. We are glad we did but I don't think we will do it again. All in all it was about 780 miles and 15 hours.
