One of my biggest fears when is started this blog was that i felt i couldn't be totally honest because people would judge me. But i have had enough. If you feel you are close enough to me to be following my blog then you are going to get to know the real me.
I am trying to prepare my RS lesson for Sunday. I know what i want to say. But i must be tactful. But this is my blog and if you are reading this you can exit out whenever you want.
WHEN DID CHURCH BECOME OPTIONAL!
Church on Sunday means all 3 meetings
Life changes all the time. We don't out grow covenants. Just because you have a change in your life doesn't mean the Lord does not still what to bless you. But He can't if you don't do your part.
Church isn't a punishment. It is a privilege. All our Father in Heaven wants to do is give you blessings. He wants to bless you through other people and have you bless others. That doesn't work if someone doesn't make the first move.
Have you noticed that we are back to teaching Gospel Principals. Have you noticed that ward conference was a call to re dedicate yourself. Have you noticed that general conference is back to teaching basic gospel principals. We are taking 2 steps backwards. In conference they said that we are only one generation from the church become extinct! Are we the generation that is going to allow that to happen?
It is all about choices.
Are you choosing to live worthy of your Heavenly Fathers blessings?

I sure hope I am! I know I fall short on many things, I am still working at it though.
I agree Church is a privilege. A wonderful one!
I don't even know if you remember me, I was in the 5th ward until the split into 7th, and then my family moved to Boise, so it's been a while.
I just wanted to share my thoughts. I'm glad we're getting back to basics a little bit. I sometimes get lost in all the mysteries and the speculation. I LIKE basics. I learn the MOST from basics.
I think we're getting back to basics because they're the most important. We are growing so fast. I think new members can get lost in everything and forget the spirit they felt when they were learning the basics.
But I agree, just going to sacrament meeting, you're missing out on the spirit, you're missing out on blessings.
I have been catching up on your blog a bit. I admit, with some T ball games and some summer weather, I fall behind on reading blogs like everyone else.
I am so jealous of yoru trip, it looks wonderful. My kids would love a coastal trip I am sure. I can picture your dream, and it sounds wonderful. I would love to see those sand creations in real life!
I hear you singing song bird when it comes to church.
You said it nicely and I fear that I wouldn't be able to say it that nicely. I lack compassion and understanding when it comes to matter of church stuff.
That's why you are the RS President, and I never will be!
